Our Equipping Ministries are essential for teaching and training the family of believers here at Leake's Chapel. Below are some of our opportunties:

Sunday School
We have Sunday School classes for all ages, including Christian Education opportunities from pre-school through adulthood. Whether you are interested in learning or teaching, there is a place for you! Classes start at 9:45 am and run through 10:45 am. Click here for class information.
Women's Fellowship

The Women's Fellowship is a group of serving sisters that meet on a monthly basis, the first Wednesday each month, with devotions, new project suggestions that include new outreach ministries to the community and the local church.

The Women's Fellowship out reach projects include funeral meals and to minister to their families and friends during this time.

The Womens Fellowship have bake sales throught the year and provide refreshments at auctions and various community functions.

The Women's Fellowship is responsible for planning the Mother/Daughter Banquet each Spring, they provide the meal for the Men's Banquet held near Father's Day in June.

The Womens Fellowship is responsible for the distribution of anniversary cards, birthday cards and  sympathy cards for the church family.

Junior Church

Our Junior Church is designed for all children from 4 years old through the 4th grade. During Sunday morning worship, children are dismissed to go the education center for age-appropiate lessons and activities.

Midweek Bible Study

We have a Bible Study on Thursdays at 7:00 pm. We come together to study the scriptures and to pray for our church, our families, and our community needs.

Music
Much of our music is organized by Martha Graves. She also leads the choir and is the church organist.

We currently have three pianists, Bonnie Dovel, Carolyn Dovel and Martha Graves, who rotate Sundays.

Ministry to Teens

Our youth group currently meet on Sunday mornings at 11:00 am for a Worship Service. This is designed for all youth grades 5 and up. They plan a special event for each month. Past events included Snow Tubing at Massenutten Ski Resort and a visit to Pump It Up in Mount Crawford.

They also do a community service activity project each month. Previous projects include preparing and serving a meal for the residents at the Salvation Army Homeless Shelter in Harrisonburg. They also have assisted the Page County SPCA. The group has also assisted with the Casey's Backpack Program in Stanley.

Men's Fellowship

The Men's Fellowship meets regularly on the second Saturday morning each month for breakfast and a fellowship meeting.

The men use their many talents to work on various projects and property improvement at the church as well as supporting Camp Brethren Woods by servicing requests from the camp.

The Men's Fellowship provide the meal for the the Mother/Daughter Banquet each Spring. They also plan the Men's Banquet held near Father's Day in June.

Each year the men support the Shenandoah District Disaster Auction by providing an ad in the annual booklet, which helps to raise money on the third weekend in May to help underwrite response to numerous natural disasters that occur in the United States as well as around the world.
